Traditional Samhain Halloween Event (Finding the Cailleach Bheara)

Description

This Halloween why not take yourself on a mythical adventure to Bluebell lane within the magical Ring of Gullion.

On this walking event you will visit the 3000 year old Celtic round house where you will meet with ‘Willy the wisp’ to hear the story of how he sold his soul to the devil and then tricked him into getting it back.

Take a traipse through the Banshee Trail along side the Spider Queen as your guide while getting spooked along the way!

Stop off at the fairy ring and enjoy roasting some marshmallow’s on the open fire with the local fairys 

Discover the Cailleach Bheara’s lair deep in the woods and uncover the mystery of how she became to be ‘The Witch of Slieve Gullion’  

Pick your Pumpkin to take home and carve while singing songs with Patsy the Scarecrow in the pumpkin patch.

At the end of the walking tour children are treated to hot chocolate and trick or treats while adults enjoy a nice hot mug of tea/coffee and a slice of apple tart.
