Arrive at Bluebell Lane Glamping car park at 10:30am, where you will be welcomed by your host Pádraig Carragher.

No previous experience required and a demonstration and explanation of the tools, machines, and materials are at the centre of this wholesome experience.

You will be supplied with everything necessary for your experience.

Tea and Coffee will be served on your arrival. A hearty lunch will be enjoyed together in the afternoon,

Description

Arrive at Bluebell Lane at 10:30am, where you will be welcomed by Pádraig. 

(We are located at Bluebell Lane Glamping 49 Tullymacrieve Rd, BT35 9RE)

You’ll take a short walk to our woodturning workshop where you will receive Tea and Coffee and have an informal chat and get settled in. 

You will be given a demonstration and explanation of the tools, machines, and materials at the center of this wholesome experience. Pádraig will provide you with a demonstration on the lathe before you get going.

No previous experience is required, you will be supplied with everything necessary.

You will get stuck into the first stages of woodturning your Bowl  based on the earlier demonstration. This will take you to dinner time (approx. 2pm)

After the initial woodturning stages, and once the bottom of the bowl is complete we will take a short walk to our communal kitchen for a hearty dinner. (Approx 2 o’clock). After this, we will take a short stroll through our native woodland visiting the Celtic Iron Age house and discuss the different trees and their usages in woodturning and woodland crafts.

Around 3pm, we will arrive back at the studio for the second stage of of the Bowl woodturning demonstration. You will carry out these stages until completion of your bowl.

Using a pyrography pen, you can burn a special message or name on the bottom of your Bowl to give some extra meaning to the beautiful piece that you have created. You will finish up around 5:30pm.
